Alex's First Full Sonata

Alex was learning his first Sonata when the repertoire list came out for the Sonata Contest. It made sense to have him enter with this piece. Although he did not advance at the competition, for his age (11) he is doing quite well! (BTW, he can play the second movement just as well !) Bravo Alex!!  (Contest Level 8 of 11 levels - with 1-6 having both 2 sub levels)

Paulina Plays with Confidence

While it left both me and Jason scratching our heads as to why Paulina did not advance based on the final performance of those who did, and perhaps a little bias, she owned this piece! I am so looking forward to what you can do next year! Brava!!  (Contest Level 3A)

Guisseth is one to Watch!

Guisseth has laser focus, poise, and confidence. She had only been taking lessons for 8 months when I asked her and her mother if she would like to be entered in the Sonata contest. Although she did not advance, her bravery, poise, and grace under pressure at such a young age is to be  commended. Brava Guisseth! My apologies for only taking a video of the exposition... (Contest Level 1A)
