MTAC San Diego Branch Sonata Conest

Select students have the opportunity to participate in an annual sonata contest held at Point Loma Nazarene University. I have had students enter the past two years. The first year, I had three students enter, sadly none advanced. The second year, I had six enter and two advance.  The studio's third year of participation saw six students enter and one advance. Preparation begins as soon as the repertoire list is released. Extra practice is required, and there are master classes with guest artists to offer additional advice.
